My granny would have seen street scenes like this in her early childhood.
Her father would most certainly have driven his hackney carriage along this stretch of road.

These are the kind of scenes which my 93 year old great great grandfather( the oldest harp maker in the world) may have encountered on his way to work in Charlotte street.
