A Haarnack Harp in Liverpool

This is harp Number 4026 and it has engravings on both sides of the action plate

On one side - Haarnack and bears the address - 35, Berners Street, Cavendish Square
and on the other side a Royal coat of arms and the number.

I believe the Haarnacks'first workshop was in Berners Street but as the work grew they used premises in Newman street as well.

In the 1860s they moved into shop and workshop in Charlotte Street and by the 1880s this was the only one in use.

We might therefore conclude that harps with a Berners Street Address were made somewhere between 1830 and 1870 and were the earlier harps to be made.
